Privacy Policy
Stand & Swing has no accounts, no servers of ours, no analytics and no advertising. Your rounds are stored on your device. We cannot see them, because there is nowhere for them to go.
Who this is from
Stand & Swing is made by Separator Brook LLC, a New York limited liability company. Questions about this policy go to privacy@standandswing.com.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you record — rounds, shots, guns, clubs, squad mates' names, notes and settings — is written to the app's own storage on your iPhone and Apple Watch. It is not uploaded to us. Separator Brook LLC operates no server that receives your shooting data, and there is no login because there is no account.
If you delete the app, that data goes with it. Before you do, you can export every shot you have ever recorded from the Stats screen as a spreadsheet file, which is yours to keep.
Permissions the app asks for
- Location (while using the app, optional). Only if you tap to find shooting grounds near you. Your coordinates are handed to Apple's Maps service to run that search and are used to fill in a club's name and address. We do not receive them, and no location is attached to a round unless you choose to save a range to it. The app never tracks you in the background.
- Health (optional). On Apple Watch a round runs as a workout session, which is what keeps the screen on the score while you shoot, and the finished round is saved to the Health app as a workout so it counts toward your activity. That workout is written to Health on your device and read by Apple's apps, not by us. Decline it and scoring still works; the screen may sleep between birds.
- The iPhone and Apple Watch apps talk to each other over Apple's own device-to-device connection, which does not pass through us.
Purchases
The full version is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple tells the app whether the purchase exists. We never see your name, card number, billing address or Apple Account. Apple's own privacy policy governs the transaction.
What we do not do
- No analytics or usage tracking of any kind, first-party or third-party.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party software development kits collecting data from the app.
- No selling or sharing of personal information, because none is collected.
- No email list. If you write to support, that email lives in an ordinary mailbox and is used to answer you.
Sharing a round
When you share a scorecard, a squad sheet or a spreadsheet, the app hands the file to iOS and you choose where it goes — Messages, Mail, Files, or another app. Nothing is sent anywhere until you pick a destination, and it does not pass through us on the way.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Laws in some places — including the California Consumer Privacy Act and the GDPR — give you rights to see, correct, export or delete the personal information a company holds about you. Separator Brook LLC holds none from this app. Your data is on your device: you can read it, export it, and delete it yourself at any time, without asking us.
If this changes
If a future version adds anything that leaves your device — iCloud sync between your own devices is the likely one — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described plainly here rather than folded into a new paragraph of boilerplate. The date at the top tells you when it was last touched.
